If you review your life and urge to change it altogether just see your dreams living, it means it is meant to happen provided you are aware of the concept and techniques of Creative Visualization. This is what Shakti Gawain claims in his book, Creative Visualization. It is a very fascinating book, written for anyone regardless of one’s metaphysical, religious or spiritual believes & practices, age, gender, social status, race or color. Gawain explains why it is so:
“Creative Visualization…..It involves understanding and aligning yourself with the natural principles that govern the working of our universe, and learning to use these principles in the most conscious and creative way.” (p:6)
The amazing book helps us in two ways:
Clarity of Mind
Creative Visualization introduces those techniques to us that let us peep into our inner self to learn who we actually are? What exactly we want to achieve in our lives including our personal development, love, money, profession, cause or whatever. Sometimes, we assume falsely that we urge to do or achieve a certain thing, though we are not really serious for that or that particular desire is not meant to be happening for us for some unseen reasons (like it might not be good for us) or something better is planned for us from God. So, the techniques help us get connected to our innerself, and finally, this innerself is get linked to the Divine Power, God. “So, consciously imagining what we want can help us to manifest it in our lives.” (P:11)
Shakti explains, “ It (Creative Visualization) involves exploring, discovering, and changing or deepest, most basic attitudes toward life….In the process we often discover ways in which we have been holding ourselves back, blocking ourselves from achieving satisfaction and fulfillment in our lives through our fears and unconscious beliefs.” (P:11)
How to Realize the Actual Dreams?
Once we are clearly, completely and realistically aware on what exactly we want or dream, we can use our imaginative powers positively to realize our desires and dreams. According to the book,
“The idea is like a blueprint; it creates the image of the form, which then magnetizes and guides the physical energy to flow into that form, and eventually manifests it on the physical plane.” (P:10)
Creative Visualization Begins Through
The practical story starts from some relaxing and visualizing exercises. The philosophy behind it is “…if you learn to relax deeply and do creative visualization, you may be able to make far more effective changes in your life than you would by thinking, worrying, planning and trying to manipulate things and people.”
Best timings for relaxing exercises are either early morning or before bedtime at night, “…because at those times the mind and body are already relaxed and receptive.” (p:17) A short period meditation or creative visualization at midday is also very rewarding.
Proceeding, self-actualization motivates you in being yourself, which is the first step towards materializing our desires, wishes and dreams.
“You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.”
Desire, belief and acceptance will be your next mile stones. You will end up being connected and communicated with your Creator. As a result, you will be blessed with divine guidance, wisdom and help.
On one hand, you will deal with your deeper emotions and confront your demons. Finally, we will realize,
“Almost everything you truly need or want is here for the asking; you only need to believe that it is so, truly desire it, and be willing to accept it.”
On the other hand, you will come across your possibilities.
There are various kinds of exercises from the purpose of self-actualization to prosperity, healing, health, peace of mind, clarity, and manifestation of dreams for individuals as well as groups. Eventually, you will end up living your actual dreams.
It is a very practical and convincing book. Its basic philosophy is similar to religious meditative philosophy. Prayers are for the same purpose. Those who have experienced Creative Visualization report that introspection is the point where religions meditation and Creative Visualization meet. And, results are very promising.
